This Privacy Policy explains how meibel.ai Inc. ("Meibel", "we", "us") collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit our websites, create or use a Meibel account, contact us, attend our events, or otherwise deal with us as a business.

What this policy does not cover. Our customers use the Meibel platform to process their own documents and data. When we process personal information inside that content, we do so on our customer's behalf and under our agreement with them, and the customer decides how it is used. If you have questions about that information, please contact the customer whose account it is in.

Information we collect

Information you give us. For example your name, business email, phone number, company and job title; account and login details; billing details (card payments are handled by our payment processor, and we do not store full card numbers); and anything you send us in support requests, forms or messages.

Information collected automatically. When you use our websites or the platform we collect information such as IP address, device and browser details, pages and features used, and dates and times, using cookies, pixels and similar technologies.

Information from others. We may receive business contact and company information from partners, event organizers, marketing and data providers, public sources, and providers that help us identify the businesses and people visiting our websites.

How we use it

• To provide, operate and secure our websites and the platform, and to manage accounts and billing.
• To respond to you and provide support.
• To understand and improve our products and services, including through aggregated or de-identified information.
• For marketing and advertising, including measuring how our campaigns perform. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the link in them.
• To prevent fraud and misuse, and to meet our legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

How we share it

We share personal information with:

• Service providers who work for us, such as hosting, payment processing, analytics, communications, marketing and support providers.
• Third-party AI model providers you choose to use through the platform.
• Analytics, marketing and advertising partners, including through cookies and similar technologies on our websites.
• Customers, where you use the platform through your organization's account.
• Others where the law requires it, to protect rights and safety, in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, or with your consent.

Cookies and your choices

We use cookies and similar technologies to run our websites, remember your settings, understand how our websites are used, and for marketing and advertising. Where the law requires, we show a notice or ask for your consent first, depending on where you are. You can also control cookies in your browser settings.

"Sale" or "sharing" under U.S. state laws. Some of our use of cookies and similar technologies for advertising may count as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, or as targeted advertising, under the privacy laws of some U.S. states. You can opt out using the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link on our websites, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals as the law requires. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information until you ask us to delete it, or for the period set in our agreement with the relevant customer, unless the law requires or allows us to keep it longer.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information. No system is completely secure. Our security overview at meibel.ai/security describes how we protect our platform.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you and how we use it, and to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of it. You may also have the right to opt out of its sale or sharing, of targeted advertising, and of marketing. To make a request, email privacy@meibel.ai. We may need to verify your identity, and you may use an authorized agent. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

Visitors from the EU, UK and Switzerland. We process personal information to perform our contracts, for our legitimate interests in running and promoting our business, to comply with the law, and with your consent where we ask for it. Our services are run from the United States; where the law requires, we protect transfers with recognized safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Our services are for businesses and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy by posting a new version here with a new effective date. Where a change is significant, we will give notice as the law requires. Earlier versions remain available on this page.
